Today we got the keys for our new place and did a final walk-through. And it looks great.
The rest of the day we spent running around, getting a new title for the car, getting new drivers licenses. For whatever reason Minnesota requires holders with out of state licenses to take a written test. Well the test is actually not really a written test but rather a multiple choice that is done on a touch screen computer. When Manda went to take hers, the examiner started her out on a test for a hazardous materials license instead of the regular class D test. After a moment of confusion and another 5 Minutes of trying to start the right test, Manda had to move to a different computer since hers had apparently crashed. The tests where pretty stupid, just really basic stuff, and most of the other people that where taking the tests with us had to do them because of DWIs.
The rest of the day we spent running to the post office to get our mailbox keys and shopping. For whatever reason (at least no one that is obvious to me) you have to go to the post office to get the key to your mailbox. Apparently that is the standard procedure for customers in a rural area, never mind that about 46.000 people in new Town.
Today's picture shows me in a big ugly chair we found at one of the furniture stores we went to today.

American furniture is just sooo boring and monstrous. Tomorrow we will go to IKEA to get some ideas for new living room furniture. After all we need a new couch, a new coffee table and much more...
After all that running around Manda just had to treat herself to a well deserved Mega-Magarita and now she wants chocolate...

That does look like a giant chair. Don't they have giant houses in MN to go with the furniture?
Don't like our chairs, huh? Well you can go back to Germany and sit on your tiny stools-for-chairs. GO AMERICA. I luv Bush. Yee-ha.
