Other winter campers.... at this campground there are a few sites for traveling campers (like these)... the rest of the sites are what Felbie and I call permo camps.... they are very seldom moved.
Here is a typical "permo-camp" they all usually fence their "yard" in like this...
From up on the dike it is "permo-camps" as far as the eye can see....
Someone built this down by the sea..... it was taller than Felbie! (and it wasn't us... I swear!)
.... down by the sea...
...the tide was out...
The harbor at Neuharlingersiel....

Cute winter campers with a tree....
After our morning walk down to the sea we departed Neuharlingersiel fairly early in order to get to Norddeich. There was a sauna we wanted to go to called Ocean Wave. However, when we got there we found out that Wednesday is Damen Sauna (only women in the sauna) so we decided we would have to come back after Christmas. We could have gone just for the pools, they had multiple hot tubs, a waterslide, a wave pool, and a steam room... but we really wanted to do the saunas as well.So we started to drive back and made a stop in a little town called Emden on the way. They were supposed to have a romantic Christmas Market. It was reviewed romantic due to the fact that part of the Markt was right on the water, on a ship in the harbor. It was ok. Some of the huts were closing up or already closed though. We had some gluh wine and walked down to the harbor....

There was a fish stand down by the water where we had the most AMAZING (sorry I must yell) Back Fish... (Back Fish is what they call fried fish). We had a Back Fish with remoulade sauce on a hard roll and it was so good we vowed we must come back on our way up to Ocean Wave just for the fish. (And neither of us really like fish all that much.) Haha.
