At Killarney

While we were in Killarney we took two hikes. The Chik (Chikanishing Trail), and the Crack. The Chik took us down by Georgian Bay (part of Lake Huron). And the Crack took us up a big hill and through a crack to a view of some inland lakes.

We did the Chik first thing in the morning. It was my favorite of the two. For most of the trail you are walking on big flat rocks.
And ofcourse I loved that it was down by the water!

There were frogs too! You had to watch your step... this guy was sitting in a puddle on one of the rocks right in the middle of the trail.
We never did go swimming in Georgian Bay... or anywhere in Lake Huron. I think it is becuase all the Provincial parks had showers and so we didn't feel like we needed to.
At the top of the Crack.
The view from the top of the Crack.
On the way back from the Crack the sky opened up and poured cat, dogs and zebras on us! It was crazy!!! There were torrents of muddy water coming down the trail at us... and we were soaked from head to toe! Good thing my camera bag came with its own raincoat. That is the only thing that stayed dry!
